 In
1973, Jerry D. Smith opened the Ames Hearing Aid Center in Ames,
Iowa. After successfully providing quality service to many people in the
Ames area, Jerry realized the need for quality service in many other Iowa
communities, both large and small. Today, HEARING UNLIMITED, formerly
the Ames & Black Hawk Hearing Aid Centers and affiliated offices, has
26 locations in Iowa making Hearing Unlimited the largest and most successful
hearing aid dispensing system in Iowa.

| The
success of HEARING UNLIMITED is due to the dedication of the Smith family
and their many employees. In 1975, Judy A. Smith, then a nurse for
an ear specialist, joined her husband in building Hearing Unlimited. Judy
has a Master’s degree in audiology from the University of Northern Iowa,
and is the Director of Audiology for HEARING UNLIMITED with currently 7
other clinical audiologists on her staff. Judy services the Ankeny
location. |

| Michael
D. Smith, NBC-HIS, son of Jerry
and Judy Smith, joined the business in 1987. Michael services the Clarion,
Jefferson and Ames offices and is a member of both the Iowa Association
of Hearing Health Professionals and the International Hearing Aid Society.
Michael is a Past-President of the Iowa Association of Hearing Health Professionals
and was appointed by former Governor Branstad to serve a three-year term
on the Iowa Hearing Aid Dispensers Licensing Board. |

| Jeffrey
S. Smith, NBC-HIS, son of Jerry
and Judy Smith, joined the family business in 1987. Jeff is Nationally Board
Certified and is a member of both the Iowa Association of Hearing Health
Professionals and the International Hearing Aid Society.
Jeff services the Oelwein and Waterloo locations. |

| Cami
Lawless, HIS, daughter of Jerry
and Judy Smith, has worked in the family business for most of her life.
She now manages a hearing aid office in Maplewood, Minnesota. Cami
is a hearing instrument specialist and a member of the Iowa Association
of Hearing Health Professionals and the Minnesota Hearing Aid Society. |
